At the 2008 World Tea Expo®, Aiya America announced it would begin private labeling. The Private Labeling Program includes a number of its highest quality grade teas, specifically chosen for the American market. This venture will be a first for the 120-year-old Japanese company, headquartered in Nishio, Japan, which has been growing and manufacturing tea for more than a century. Negotiations with the first companies interested in partnering with Aiya are currently underway.

Aiya America’s Director of Marketing, Jon Baumgardner, commented, “This is an exciting new venture for the company that will help us to further expand. After years of having companies ask us to enter the private labeling business, we now feel we have the international logistics and operations as well as the marketing and customer service to meet the increasing demand, worldwide. We at Aiya believe that our Private Labeling Program will enable our products to become even more available to consumers and, with our ongoing production capacity being number one in the market, it makes sense to move in this direction.”

Herbal teas can be made with strong or dry flowers, leafages, seeds or roots, broadly speaking by pouring simmering H2O through the plant life pieces and having them steep for a few minutes. Seeds and stems can also be boiled on a range. The tisane is then filtered, sweetened if so desired, and served. Many companies grow herbal tea bags for such infusions, like ours Check Us Out.
